Ms Apostolia Michael

Ms Apostolia Michael is currently employed at the University of Nicosia in Cyprus. She holds a BA in English and Greek Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2008) and an MA in English Literature from the University of Westminster in London UK (2010). She is also a CELTA-qualified teacher by the University of Cambridge (2010). Her research interests belong to the field of teaching and learning English as a First or Second Language and her research focuses on enhancing motivation and autonomous learning in the EFL and ESOL environments with the aid of technology. Apostolia has taught in monolingual and multilingual courses, both in Cyprus and abroad, and she has also designed and taught DL courses at the University of Nicosia in the BBADL and BBADG programmes. She has also presented various seminars on using digital tools to enhance autonomous learning (CYTEA Conference (19/11/2018), in the 5th Teacher Development Day in TESOL 2018 at the University of Nicosia (12/05/2018) and in the CYTEA conference (28/11/2022).
